The DofE team went for a practice hike up and around Frodsham hill to queen charlotte’s wood. The walk had the purpose of preparing us for the two hikes at the end of the award. It took about two and a half hours to complete, including some short breaks and about 15 minutes for a snack because some people had only just got home from school at the time. The atmosphere was generally lively and upbeat with the occasional moan when someone was asked to read the map for a second time.
